School Employment Opportunities 2008-2009 Full-Time music Teacher The Whidbey Island Waldorf School, in its 24th year, is seeking a full-time music teacher. The ideal candidate will have Waldorf training, a strong musical background, and prior teaching experience. The Whidbey Island Waldorf School offers a nursery through 8th grade curriculum and serves approximately 140 students. Our curriculum includes full time subject teachers in Eurythmy, Music, Handwork, and Spanish. About Us Founded in 1985, Whidbey Island Waldorf School is located on Whidbey Island in the beautiful Puget Sound area of Washington State and lies nestled between the Olympic and Cascade Mountains. Our unique island location offers a calm atmosphere with beaches, trails and easy access to several national forests. South Whidbey has a rich and diverse arts community and is only one hour from the cultural life and opportunities of the downtown Seattle area. We also have many students who commute daily to the island in order to attend our school. It’s also an easy commute to the Seattle Waldorf High School from the island. Many of our school families have moved here from all over the country in order to be a part of this school community.
