Playgroups

We offer two sessions each school year for parents and their children.  The Rosebud and Dewdrop programs create a warm, nurturing, and supportive environment for children and parents to discover the joy of family.

Parents are guided through observations of the children and work activities while children are invited to join free and imaginative play.  Circle time offers songs, verses, and movement for parents and children to experience together.  A wholesome snack nourishes the body and a simple puppet story nourishes the soul.  Parents and teachers will work together to create a gentle transition from home to school.

Time is provided after each class to play outside on our beautiful playground.  The children enjoy running, climbing, and playing in the water and sand.  This is also a wonderful opportunity for parents to connect with one another or ask the teacher individual questions.

In addition to the weekly playgroups, parent evenings and articles of interest are offered for parenting support.  Rosebud and Dewdrop parents are also invited to join the larger school community during events such as seasonal festivals and adult education workshops.

Parent Evenings

Our parent evenings offer information and provide parents an opportunity for discussion on child development, parenting issues and Waldorf education.  These evenings include an orientation to the Rosebud and Dewdrop programs.  Evening workshops are free and open to all parents.
